The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that over 1000 people a week are moving to Queensland to seek employment and a new way of life. Main reason for moving seems to be financial, which isn’t surprising given the cost of living in Sydney and Melbourne.

This is great news for employers in Brisbane, as it widens the depth of candidates. From a job seekers perspective, it means more competition, but with the shortage of employees at the moment, things should still be fine.
